Record Reimagined

Created a contemporary redesign of Power and the Passion by Midnight Oil for an introductory Graphic Design course at SCAD. The project challenged students to reinterpret an existing album cover through the visual language of a designer who inspires them. Drawing influence from Shawna X's vibrant color palettes, surreal imagery, and symbolic visual storytelling, I transformed the original record sleeve into a bold, psychedelic composition that reflects the song's themes of political complacency, consumerism, and social responsibility. Developed in Adobe Photoshop, the project involved extensive visual research, ideation, and iterative design exploration to merge music, meaning, and contemporary graphic aesthetics.
